About Mycopunk Guide
Mycopunk Guide is an independent, unofficial site about Mycopunk, the fungal looter shooter by Pigeons at Play and Devolver Digital. It is written and maintained by one person who plays the game, and it exists because the 1.0 launch changed enough systems that most of what was written during Early Access is now wrong.
What this site is for
The goal is narrow: explain the systems that the game does not explain well, in the order a new player meets them. That means the hex upgrade grid first, then weapons and employees, then enemies, regions and the threat climb. Completion content — achievements, resources, Ouroboros — comes after, because those only matter once the basics make sense.
Where the facts come from
Every page lists what it was checked against. In practice that means four kinds of source:
- Steam store data and the appdetails API — release date, price, platforms, categories, specifications, achievement totals, review counts.
- Official developer announcements and patch notes posted on Steam by Pigeons at Play, including the 1.0 announcement, the roadmap, the Freeze & Fester update and the launch patch notes.
- Steam Community guides for mechanics the official material does not spell out, such as resource harvesting and the Ouroboros cleanse costs. These are attributed where they are used.
- Public achievement completion percentages, which are useful precisely because they show what the player base does rather than what a guide writer assumes.
Numbers are only published when a source states them. Where a figure comes from a community measurement taken during Early Access, the page says so rather than presenting it as current.
What this site does not do
No damage tables. No boss health values. No "best build" rankings with invented numbers. Mycopunk does not publish per-weapon damage values, and a table of numbers that nobody can verify is worse than no table.
There is also no page for "codes" — Mycopunk has no redeem codes, and inventing a list of them would be the fastest way to waste a reader's time.

Corrections
If something on this site is wrong — a mechanic that changed, an unlock condition that is stated incorrectly, a region detail that does not match what you see in game — the contact page has the address. Corrections with a source are applied quickly, and pages carry a verification date so you can tell how fresh an answer is.
